Project G.R.A.P.E., is a youth development program. The acronym G.R.A.P.E. in Project G.R.A.P.E. stands for "Growing Readily Available Produce Everywhere." Outdoor classroom sessions are held weekly at specified school gardens within the DeKalb County School District. Sessions are taught utilizing a uniquely designed program curriculum and focus on six tenants: the principles and techniques of gardening, self-sustainability, the importance of social-emotional learning, building leadership skills, volunteerism and broadening their educational ecosystem. All garden education sessions are facilitated by Mr. Eric Williams, Education Specialist II and Dr. Stewart-Banks.
